Tess is new to counseling, but has been consistent in caring for others throughout her life. Tess’ approach to counseling includes clinical theory and intervention but gains its focus from the understanding of John 16:33, “ …in this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Different therapeutic approaches include Person Centered paired with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gestalt therapy. Sessions with Tess include learning and applying coping skills that can be practiced in daily life and empathically exploring the meaning and effects of thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
Tess is a dessert enthusiast! She spends her free time searching out yummy treats in the St. Louis area and beyond. She also enjoys being in nature and spending the day with her husband and dog. Tess’ ideal day includes rainy weather, hot coffee, a cozy blanket, and warm conversation.
