Elizabeth Nimmo
Licensed Professional Counselor
Elizabeth earned a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and Bachelor of Art degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Southwest Baptist University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she offers genuineness, non-judgment, warmth, and empathy in combination with objectivity and therapeutic knowledge. She aims to provide an open and relaxed environment where individuals, families, children, or adolescents are free to engage in personal exploration and change. Elizabeth is trained in EMDR and enjoys working with a variety of ages, populations, and therapeutic issues and believes a diverse caseload makes her a stronger counselor.
As a Christian counselor, she loves to see God do big things in people’s lives. She will assist clients in identifying lies, faulty thought patterns, toxic behaviors, and maladaptive relational patterns that keep them from living the abundant life God offers. Her greatest hope is that her clients embrace the power of truth, authenticity, and vulnerability to discover holy redemption, freedom, and abundance in God.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys a relaxed life. She married her college sweetheart and together they have one child and have pursued education, careers, and adventure. She calls herself a grateful wife and enjoys spending time with her husband, extended family, and friends. She enjoys reading, creative and artistic endeavors, playing with her dogs and the occasional Netflix binge.
