Kristy Snelson
Licensed Professional Counselor
Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri in
2010. Later in 2019, Kristy graduated with her Master of Arts in Counseling at Lindenwood University
after realizing her gift of counsel while being trained in ministry. In September 2021, Kristy was ordained
as an elder thus furthering her heart for God’s people. She has a passion for combining her nursing with
counseling degree, while using biblical principles for her clients to achieve emotional and psychological
success. Her therapy modalities include psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and existentialism.
Kristy provides individual therapy for adults and couples, while working under her motto, “We must
understand our before season, in order to heal our now season.” Kristy believes that developing
relationship is crucial for client/couple growth. This is the true biblical model for Kingdom success. Her
experience includes working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, borderline personality
disorder, divorce, and finding their voice alongside their purpose. Kristy understands the need to
address the mental, the emotional, and the physical aspects to promote an atmosphere conducive for
healing. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV states, “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and
through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
God desires to work on the WHOLE individual. When we’re not whole, we feel stuck and life can feel like
it has no meaning.
Kristy has a calling to advance the Body of Christ to be the healthy bride that she is truly ordained to be.
When out of the office, Kristy enjoys doing community work and spending time with her two sons Kellen
and Elijah. Kristy is enthusiastic about partnering with clients for triumph.
