Licensed Professional Counselor

Christy earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Columbia International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Childhood Education at Cedarville University. She has a background in working with children, individuals and families for over 16 years. She began working in the private practice setting in 2011. Her experience includes: working with grief and loss, trauma, abuse, marriage and family issues, divorce care, transitional/adjustment issues, depression and anxiety, and women and children's issues.

She provides family and individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults utilizing a variety of counseling approaches; including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Family Systems Theory to address the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of an individual's healing process. She enjoys counseling and walking alongside individuals across the life span as they work through a wide variety of struggles. She believes that the counseling relationship is a supportive, therapeutic environment where individuals, couples and families can work toward healing, growth and meeting personal goals. Her background of being raised overseas, working overseas and now as a military wife has also given her a passion for working with families and children with transition and adjustment issues. She has completed additional training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and the TF-CBT model.

When she is not counseling, Christy enjoys spending time with her husband and five children; mostly outdoors. She also loves to spend time reading, studying, photography and traveling to see family and friends.
